Jeff Thomson named CAA Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.

Northeastern senior right handed pitcher Jeff Thomson (Grande Pointe, Manitoba/North Delta Secondary) was named the CAA Pitcher of the Week the conference announced on Monday. Jeff Thomson delivered a complete game five-hitter in a crucial came three against the Delaware Blue Hens.

Jeff Thomson had a career outing in his final game at Friedman Diamond. Thomson struck out a career high 11 batters and moved to 6-4 with the win. Thomson retired the last 12 batters of the ball game in a row.

The Huskies offense provided the needed thee runs to get the win and finish the sweep of the Delaware Blue Hens leaving the Huskies is solid playoff position. The Huskies have a big series coming up with Towson this weekend with the winner of the series likely to secure a playoff position.

This weeks honor is the second CAA Pitcher of the Week honor for Jeff Thomson this season and the fourth of his career. JT Ross and Ryan Quigley have also named as the CAA Pitcher of the Week this season. Northeastern is the first CAA school to have four pitcher of the week honors this season.
