Northeastern 4, Stony Brook 2 (game 2)
Mike Steinberg was hit by a pitch to lead off the game and then stole second. A Tim Bush single to left field brought in Steinberg and gave the Huskies a quick 1-0 lead.
Stony Brook knotted the score at one in the bottom of the second inning. Cole Cicatelli led off the inning with a single to left and advanced to second on a balk by NU hurler Brendan Ryan. David Wood followed with a single to center, scoring Cicatelli.
The 1-1 tie continued into the bottom of the fifth when the Seawolves took a 2-1 advantage. Ed Kull knocked a deep fly ball to right that scored Garrett Renner, who tagged from third. The Stony Brook lead was short lived as the Huskies scored two in the top of the sixth.
Sidhu singled to knock in Bush, who reached on a error earlier in the inning, to tie the game 2-2. NU moved in front when Matt Morizio floated a ball over the shortstop to score pinchrunner Diego Garcia.
The Huskies added an insurance run in the seventh as freshman Chris Emanuele singled to left to start off the inning and advanced to second on an error. Omar Pena brought Emanuele home with a single to left field for NU's final run of the game and the 4-2 final margin.
Ryan went the distance for Northeastern, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out seven to improve to 2-3 on the season. The Huskies had complete-game performances from their starters in all four games of the weekend series.
The Huskies return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Amherst to take on UMass starting at 3 p.m.

University Field (Stony Brook, NY)Northeastern finished off a sweep of Stony Brook in game two of a doubleheader with a 4-2 victory on Sunday to improve to 15-18 on the season and even its conference record at 8-8. Freshman Arman Sidhu led NU by going 4-4 and adding an RBI.
