Savannah State 5, Northeastern 4 (Game Two)
NU had lost the first game 4-2.
Three Huskies (4-6) homered in the loss. Freshman Mike Tamsin went deep in the first inning to give NU a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Josh Porter cut Savannah's lead to 5-2 in the third inning with a homer, his second home run in as many at-bats. Senior Chris Emanuele gave the Huskies hope, homering in the seventh and cutting the deficit to 5-4.
Both starting pitchers went the distance in the game. Junior Dave Pellegrine (1-2) allowed five runs, three earned, on six hits. Tigers (16-7) starter John Keene (3-1) allowed four runs on seven hits while recording eight strikeouts.
Northeastern and Savannah State will play again tomorrow at 11 a.m. Sophomore Kris Dabrowiecki is scheduled to start for the Huskies.

Tiger Field (Savannah, Ga.)Savannah State jumped out to a 5-1 lead after two innings and despite its best effort, the Northeastern baseball team fell short of tying the game, losing 5-4 in the back end of a doubleheader Saturday afternoon in Savannah, Ga.
