Northeastern 11, Delaware 0
Dabrowiecki (3-0) completed the Husky trifecta of solid starting pitching this weekend. He limited the Blue Hens to just three hits and two walks in his eight innings while recording nine strikeouts.
Combine Dabrowiecki's outing with juniors Adam Ottavino and Dave Pellegrine's performances this weekend and Husky starters were 3-0 with a 0.38 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 24 innings.
The Huskies (9-7, 4-2 CAA) gave Dabrowiecki plenty of offensive support. Milano got it started in the third with a two-run homer to right field, giving NU a 2-0 lead.
Porter went deep in the fourth inning off of Delaware starter Chad Kerfoot (1-2).
In the fifth, freshman Mike Tamsin doubled home senior Chris Emanuele. Senior Matt Morizio was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score senior Arman Sidhu. Porter brought Tamsin home with an RBI groundout.
Up 8-0, the Huskies tacked on three more when Tamsin doubled home Sidhu, Morizio grounded to shortstop to allow Tamsin to score, and senior Brian Nutting hit an RBI single to score Morizio.
All in all, it was a big day for Tamsin, Milano and Porter. Tamsin was 2-4 with three walks, scored four runs and drove in two more. Milano was 2-4 with two RBI, hitting his team-leading fourth home run. Porter picked up three RBI on the day.
The Blue Hens (10-10, 0-6 CAA) had a tough day, getting just three baserunners to third base. In the series, they hit just .161 in the three games.
The Huskies return home, where they will play seven of their next nine games, starting with a contest versus Marist Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Friedman Diamond.
