The Huskies fell to 9-9 while the Rams improved to 12-5.
Sophomore Mike Lyon went 3-3 with a home run and two RBI in the defeat. Senior Chris Emanuele was 2-5 with a double and an RBI. Freshman Mike Tamsin was 2-4 with an RBI.
Sophomore Bobby Carrington (0-3) took the loss after pitching five innings and allowing nine runs. Rhode Island starter Jamie Degidio (4-0) got the win after allowing just three runs in six innings.
NU will host its first CAA series this weekend against UNC Wilmington, starting on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Junior Adam Ottavino will make the start for the Huskies.
