Trying to hold a one-run lead, senior Matt Morizio (0-1) allowed a walk to start the ninth, then mishandled a sacrifice bunt and then allowed a single to load the bases before McEntyre hit the ball through the middle to win the game.
A little earlier, Porter hit his mammoth shot to left field off of Matt Handley with Morizio and senior Jeff Maher on base, bringing the Huskies all the way back from a 7-0 Panthers (8-7, 2-1 CAA) lead created in the second inning.
The Huskies started the comeback with five runs in the fourth inning off of GSU starter Jeramy Compton. Senior Arman Sidhu singled and moved to third on freshman Mike Tamsin’s single. Junior Dan Milano followed with an RBI single and Morizio doubled to right-center to cut the Panthers lead to 7-3. Maher capped the inning with a two-run homer to left to make it 7-5 GSU.
Northeastern (4-4, 1-2 CAA) tacked on two runs in the fifth. Milano hit an opposite-field home run and then Morizio singled, moved to second on a wild pitch and scored on Maher’s RBI single. Maher was 3-5 with three RBI, Milano was 3-5 with two RBI and Morizio was 2-4 with two RBI.
The Panthers were led by Charlie Pelt, who went 2-2 with five RBI, three walks and a two-run homer. Aeden McQueary-Ennis (1-1) picked up the win after facing one batter in the ninth inning.
Northeastern finished its southern swing at .500 and will open the home portion of its schedule on Tue., March 14 against Connecticut at 3 p.m. at Friedman Diamond.

The Field at Panthersville, Ga.Sophomore Josh Porter had put the Northeastern baseball team up 10-9 in the eighth with a pinch-hit, three-run homer, but Georgia State scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth on a single by Nick McEntyre to edge the Huskies 11-10 in a wild game Sunday afternoon at The Field in Panthersville.
