Huskies edge Bowling Green, 3-2
Sophomore Jeff Thomson earned the win for the Huskies, allowing one run on four hits, striking out three. Freshman Ryan Quigley came in for the ninth inning and picked his first career save.
Third basebman James Donaldson got the Huskies started in the top of the first inning with a two-run double. He now has eight RBI in the Huskies' first four games of the season to lead the team. Left fielder Mike Tamsin went a perfect three-for-three and scored two runs on the day. Captain Josh Porter hit what was the eventual game winning single in the top of the eighth, scoring Tamsin from second.
The Huskies now head to Central Florida on Wednesday. Freshman Sheldon McDonald will be on the hill. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
