Huskies drop series opener at UNC Wilmington
NU scored three runs in the second to temporarily take the lead. Captain Josh Porter led the inning off with a single up the middle and after James Donaldson reached base on an error, Garrett Chin loaded the bases with a walk. Tony DiCesare, who was 2-5 on the day, then cleared the bases with a three-run triple.
Captain Dan Milano drove in the Huskies' final two runs with his ninth home run, a shot to left in the fifth inning, scoring Mike Tamsin, who was a perfect 3-3 on the day with a double.
Kris Dabrowiecki (6-3) took the loss for the Huskies after giving up five hits and four earned runs over four innings.
The Huskies and Seahawks will be back in action tomorrow at 2 p.m. as Jeff Thomson (4-3) matches up against the Seahawks' Daniel Cropper.

Brooks Field (Wilmington, NC)The Northeastern University baseball team dropped the opening game of a three-game series against UNC Wilmington, 11-5, under the lights at Brooks Field on Friday night. The Huskies were plagued by five errors and four unearned runs in the loss to the Seahawks.
