Huskies edge VCU 12-11
Frank Pesanello belted two homers in the game to lead the Husky offense. He now leads the Huskies with 12 home runs on the year. His second homer of the game in the seventh inning ended up being the game winner and his six RBI in the game was a season-high by a Husky.
Tony DiCesare had a season-high four hits in the game, including two doubles, two RBI and a run scored, while captain Josh Porter went 2-3 with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored.
Dan Zehr started the game, but Sheldon McDonald picked up the win, improving to 5-1 on the season after tossing the final 2-2/3 innings, recording five strikeouts and allowing four hits and two earned runs over that stretch.
The Huskies improved to 12-15-1 on the season and 5-8-1 in the conference, while the Rams fell to 8-21 overall and 2-9 in the CAA. The final game of the series is scheduled to be played at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Kris Dabrowiecki will be on the mound for the Hukies.

The Diamond (Richmond, VA)The Northeastern University baseball team beat Virginia Commonwealth 12-11 in a seven-inning contest in game two of a doubleheader on Friday night at The Diamond in Richmond, Va. Six Huskies finished with multiple-hit games for NU and the two teams combined for 33 hits in the game.
