Huskies fall to Bowling Green, 4-2
Captain Mike Lyon got the Huskies on the board in the bottom of the seventh with his fifth home run of the season, a line drive to left field. He was the only Husky to finish the game with multiple hits.
Center fielder Frank Compagnone led off the bottom of the ninth inning with a triple and scored on a Mike Tamsin groundout, but the Huskies were unable to complete the comeback.
Captain Kris Dabrowiecki took the loss for the Huskies, giving up four runs in six innings, while striking out six and walking one. Sophomore Ryan Quigley tossed three scoreless innings of relief to close out the game. Kevin Light gave up one run in six innings to pick up the win for the Falcons.
Northeastern drops to 5-3 with the loss, while Bowling Green improves to 4-6 on the season. NU completes its annual Florida trip on Saturday at Manatee Community College in Bradenton with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. against Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne. Junior Jeff Thomson pitches the first game for the Huskies, which will be a seven-inning contest. Freshman Les Williams is set to start game two, which is scheduled for nine innings.

IMG Academies (Bradenton, FL)The Northeastern University baseball team lost to the Bowling Green Falcons 4-2 on Friday afternoon at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Fla. Faced with strong winds throughout the game, the Husky offense was never able to get into any kind of rhythm.
