Huskies fall to Seton Hall 6-0

The Northeastern Huskies were silenced by the Seton Hall Pirates 6-0. Pirates pitcher Keith Cantwell pitched a one-hitter. Jeff Dunlap got the only hit for the Huskies.

Not only did Seton Hall pitch well but also managed to put their bat on the ball quite often. The Pirates scored all six runs in the first two innings including a five-run second inning.

After the first two innings the Huskies settled in and only allowed four hits during the next six innings. Trevor Smith pitched 4-1/3 with four strike outs and Andrew Leenhouts pitched two strong innings only allowing one hit and striking out three.

The lone Huskies hit was a Jeff Dunlap hit up the middle in the fifth inning. Keith Cantwell struck out 12 batters during his nine innings of work.

Northeastern will try and bounce back tomorrow when they play NJIT at 10 a.m. in the final game of the 1st Annual Strike Out Cancer Baseball Tournament.
