Huskies fall to Bryant Bulldogs 8-4

Northeastern fell to the Bryant University Bulldogs Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference game. Bryant scored six unanswered runs to take control of the ball game and finish with an 8-4 victory.

The Huskies opened the game with a run in the first inning. Matt Miller led the Huskies off with a single followed by Frank Compagnone single which moved Miller to third. Mike Tamsin would hit a hard drive up the first base line that would be an out for Tamsin but would bring Miller in to score.

Bryant would go on to score six unanswered runs to give them a 6-1 lead before the Huskies would get back on the scoreboard.

In the fifth inning Frank Compagnone slammed his first home run of the season over the 375 mark in left center making it a 6-2 ball game.

Starter JT Ross would finish the game pitching five solid innings in which he struck out seven batters. Ross allowed six runs to score.

Russ Lloyd would pitch the next two innings only allowing two hits but two runs to score. Lloyd struck out two. Dan Zehr would pitch the eighth inning and Aaron Greenblatt threw the ninth sitting the Bulldogs down 1-2-3.

In the bottom of the ninth inning Mike Tamsin his a two-run single scoring Matt Miller and Frank Compagnone. For Tamsin it brought his game total to three RBI.

Northeastern is back in action on Saturday with a CAA doubleheader against Georgia State. First pitch is at 11 a.m.
