Caleb Ginsberg joins the Huskies' coaching staff for the 2009 season. He played for the Huskies from 2005-07 after transferring to NU from West Virginia. An excellent defensive catcher, he backed up Major League draft picks Matt Morizio and Dan Milano during his three seasons.

Ginsberg will use his professional experience working mostly with the catcher. Ginsberg will also coach first base.

Before returning to NU Ginsberg worked as a bullpen catcher with the New York Yankees and Pawtucket Red Sox. Ginsberg also worked as an assistant in the scouting department for the Tampa Bay Rays.

In addition, Ginsberg was the Assistant to the General Manager for the United States National Baseball Team and was an assistant in Baseball Operations with the New York Yankees.

Ginsberg resides in Amherst, N.H. and plans to attend law school.
