2008: Appeared in 11 games, including eight starts for the Huskies...finished with a 2-4 record and 62 strikeouts in 51-1/3 innings pitched...was the only Husky to strike out 10 batters in a game this season, accomplishing the feat twice, once against Boston College and once against William & Mary...tossed three scoreless innings of relief, giving up just one hit and striking out two against Bowling Green on March 7...went seven innings and struck out a career-high 11 batters in NU's loss to Boston College in the semifinal round of the Beanpot April 9...notched his first win of the season in the Huskies' 2-1 win vs. Towson April 20, allowing seven hits, one run and one walk, while striking out seven in five innings...earned a no-decision in NU's 8-5 win vs. Hofstra May 3 after going six innings and allowing seven hits, four runs and two walks to go along with five strikeouts...improved to 2-3 on the season after pitching the most dominating game of his career, throwing a complete game in NU's 8-1 win at William & Mary May 10, allowing just five hits, the one run and striking out 10...pitched in the Cape Cod League for the Harwich Mariners during the summer...recipient of the John J. Claffey Outstanding New England Prospect Award, which is presented annually to a Cape Cod League player who makes his home in New England or plays for a New England school.
2007: Named to the CAA All-Rookie team after posting a team-best 3.45 ERA and picking up six saves as the team’s closer...tied the NU record with 23 appearances on the season...picked up his first career save in the Huskies’ 3-2 win against Bowling Green March 5...pitched a scoreless inning of relief to earn his second save of the season in NU’s 12-10 win at Towson March 24...notched his third save of the season after striking out two for the final two outs in the Huskies’ 7-5 win at James Madison April 8...pitched two perfect innings of relief to pick up the save in the Huskies’ 5-4 win at Winthrop April 14...struck out four in two innings of relief in NU’s 6-4 win vs. Georgia State April 20...picked up his fifth save of the season in NU’s 2-0 Beanpot Championship win over Boston College at Fenway Park...pitched three no-hit innings of relief, while striking out three, to pick up his first collegiate win in the Huskies’ 6-4 win at Marist April 30...notched his sixth save of the season, pitching the final 2-1/3 innings of NU’s 6-4 at Hofstra May 11.
