Sophomore Fior D’Alize Arrindell scored the game's lone goal. Arrindell took the pass from Aleisha Bemis on the penalty corner, but instead of shooting passed off to junior Kelly Williams. Williams returned the ball to Arrindell who blasted a shot for the goal at 3:08 of the first half. It was Arrindell’s team-leading sixth goal of the season. The Huskies outshot the visiting Wildcats 10-3 in the first half, but managed only the one score. In the second half, New Hampshire controlled most of the action, keeping the pressure on the NU D, limiting the Husky offense to only four shots, three in a flurry by Arrindell. But UNH could only manage five shots and one penalty corner, and could not seem to crack the Northeastern defense. Junior Kathleen Madaus made three saves in earning her fifth shutout out of the season. UNH’s Amy Agulay turned aside nine NU shots, including six in the first half alone, but the one she let by proved to be the game-winner. The Huskies improve to 7-3 and 2-1 in America East, and will next play second-ranked Old Dominion at home on Sunday. With the loss, New Hampshire falls to 5-5 and 2-1 in America East. SCORING 1st half: NU, Fior D’Alize Arrindell (Kelly Williams) 3:08. 2nd half: no scoring.
Shots: UNH 8; NU 14.
