BROOKLINE, MA — Sarah Broderick scored the winning goal in the second overtime with just 44 seconds left to give the Huskies a 2-1 win over visiting Holy Cross in NU's final game of the regular season. The first goal of the game was scored by Holy Cross's Liz Tutella with 29:41 left in the first half. The game then went scoreless until Fior D'Alize Arindell netted a goal off a direct corner with 15:03 left in regulation. Each team had its chances after that, but the game would not be decided until Broderick's goal. The Huskies now will await the outcome of Saturday's Drexel vs. Vermont game in Philadelphia. A Vermont win would propel the Huskies into the America East playoffs for the 11th straight season. A Drexel win would cause the Huskies to miss the four-team postseason action for the first time ever.
