STANFORD, CA - Northeastern completely dominated Cal on Friday Sept. 8 in a 3-0 victory.

NU used a stifling zone defense to completely shut down the Golden Bears' offense. Cal struggled to maintain control of the ball, and when it did, very few second passes ever were successful.

The Huskies outshot the Bears 30-2 in a neutral site game played at Stanford. Senior Krisanne Duchemin notched her first goal of the season to put NU on top 1-0 in the first half. In the second half, NU outshot Cal 19-1 and newcomers Catriona Semple and Sara Webber each scored for the 3-0 final.

Kathlen Madaus and Emily Roy combined to complete the shutout.

NU improved to 2-1 while Cal fell to 2-1. Northeastern plays Stanford on Sunday.
