BROOKLINE, MA - Northeastern sophomore Sarah Broderick, combined with a tremendous team defensive effort, helped the host Huskies to a 4-0 victory over Quinnipiac.

Broderick had two goals and two assists, as NU outshot the Braves 26-1. NU limited Quinnipiac to only two penalty corners, while NU had seven.

NU's Fior D'Alize Arrindell put NU on the board on a penalty corner at 31:16 of the first half. It was Arrindell's second career goal, the first being the game-winner in the Huskies' previous game against Stanford. NU dominated the first half but managed only the one goal.

In the second half, NU would strike for three scores. The first was a great individual effort by Broderick at 28:15. Junior Kelly Williams would score on a penalty corner at 23:13, and Broderick closed out the scoring at 1:36.

Sophomore Aleisha Bemis added two assists. Junior Sarah Mathers made 12 saves for Quinnipiac.

It was the third straight shutout for NU, which has held opponents scoreless in the last 246 minutes of game time.

NU improved to 4-1 while the Braves fell to 1-4. The Huskies play tomorrow when they host Michigan State at Parsons Field at 1 p.m.
