Northeastern took a 3-0 loss to Connecticut Wednesday in Storrs, CT. NU drops to 7-8 with the loss, falling below .500 for the first time since Sept 7.
Northeastern fell behind Connecticut early on, as Connecticut's Lauren Aird scored at the 15-minute mark. Robin Kleine added a second Connecticut goal ten minutes later, and Katie Semanoff made the NU deficit three goals before halftime.
Northeastern failed to generate much offense throughout the contest. Meg Sweeney, Pam Aldridge, and Annie Clayman got shots off, but NU was outshot 13-3 on the night.
NU goalkeeper Colleen Duffy made four saves on the night, but it was not enough.
Northeastern travels to Boston College Friday, Oct. 17 before resuming CAA play against Drexel Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. and against Hofstra Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. Both games will be at Sweeney Field and will have live web video at GoNU.TV.
