2009 football game times set
The Huskies have announced their finalized game times for the upcoming 2009 season. The team will play all their home games at 1 p.m. at Parsons Field, including the home opener against Maine on Sept. 12 and Homecoming Day against Hofstra on Nov. 14. The Huskies will open the season at Boston College on Sept. 5 at 2 p.m., in a game that will broadcast over the web at ESPN360.com.

McKanas elected to Hall of Fame
Leon J. “LJ” McKanas, a native of Saugus, Mass., has been elected to the Northeastern University Hall of Fame for excellence in the sport of football. McKanas, Class of 2002, will be inducted along with six others in formal ceremonies at Northeastern’s Curry Student Center in Boston, Mass., on May 21.

Klemic elected to Hall of Fame
Dave Klemic, a native of Somers Point, N.J., has been elected to the Northeastern University Hall of Fame for excellence in the sports of football and track. Klemic, Class of 2001, will be inducted along with six others in formal ceremonies at Northeastern’s Curry Student Center in Boston, Mass., on May 21.

Parks signs with NFL's Rams
Former Northeastern defensive back Cord Parks has signed with the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent, the team announced Monday night. Parks was a four-year letterman for the Huskies, starting at cornerback for two seasons. He made 171 tackles and four interceptions in 45 career games.

Orio named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society
Former Northeastern quarterback Anthony Orio was recently named to the National Football Foundation's 2009 Hampshire Honor Society, which honors college football players for their outstanding achievement in the classroom. Orio, who finished his collegiate career as Northeastern's third all-time leading passer, graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biochemistry and will next attend the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey.
