The Huskies had two 100-yard rushers for the first time since Nov. 2, 1996. Kem Nwosu (142) and Tim Gale (104) became the first Huskies to do it since David Edmundson (149) and Brian Vaughan (127) accomplished the feat against James Madison.
When Steve Anzalone and Josh Plosker tackled AIC quarterback Keith Romanshyn in the endzone in the second quarter, NU recorded its first safety since Oct. 15, 1994. Cullen Boland sacked Boston University backup QB Tom Pincince for the Huskies’ last safety.
NU’s total of 48 points was its most since a 50-13 win over Towson at Parsons Field on Oct. 19, 1991. The Huskies’ 41-point margin of victory was their biggest since a 44-3 opening day win over Colgate on Sept. 9, 1995.
