Colon has adjusted to the 3-4 incredibly well. He is a battler and has great spurt off the line, putting himself in position to make big plays. He is expected to be a leader on the Husky defense.
2007: Started all 11 games at right end...made 36 tackles and led the team in sacks with five and tackles for a loss with 8.0...picked up a sack at Northwestern (Sept. 1)...got his second sack of the season at Delaware (Oct. 13)...made six tackles, including 1.5 for a loss at Massachusetts (Oct. 20)...picked up 2.5 sacks vs. Hofstra (Nov. 10)...recorded five tackles and half a sack at Rhode Island (Nov. 17).
2006: Started all 11 games at left end, making 35 total tackles...sacked Virginia Tech quarterback Sean Glennon for a loss of nine yards...picked up six total tackles, including 1.5 for loss, against Richmond...made four stops, with 1.5 for a loss at Maine....blocked a field goal at Hofstra...made a career-high seven tackles (six solo) in the season finale at Rhode Island.
2005: Appeared in the final seven games of the season for the Huskies, recording five total tackles.
2004: Redshirt season.
High School: Played three years of football at Lowell High School, captaining the team as a senior, before prepping for a year at Bridgton Academy...named a Lowell Sun and Boston Globe All-Scholastic...participated in the Shriner’s All-Star Game and Carole Classic...played baseball for three years, basketball for two years and wrestled for one year.
