Johnson struggled last season, but he has worked hard to straighten his kicks out. He is self-motivated and will make every effort to give NU top-notch kicking.
2007: Played in all 11 games as the Husky kicker...was 3-for-8 in field goals and 28-for-29 in PATs...37 points ranked second on the team...kicked a 23-yard field goal at UC Davis (Sept. 22)...connected on a 22-yard field goal at New Hampshire (Nov. 3)...kicked a season-long 38-yard field goal at Rhode Island (Nov. 17).
2006: Appeared in 10 of 11 games...finished the season 6-of-10 on field goal attempts and 24-of-25 on PATs...42 points tied for second on the team...made a 20-yard field goal for his first collegiate points at Holy Cross...connected on a 31-yarder in the first quarter at North Dakota State...named the Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week after kicking the game-winning 35-yard field goal as time expired to give the Huskies a 27-24 victory over Delaware...kicked a career-long 42-yard field goal at Maine.
High School: Kicked for the varsity squad for two years…All-Conference first team...selected for the Max Emfinger All-American High School Bowl game…won the Chris Sailer Kicking Competition in Las Vegas, Nev., by setting a competition record for field goal accuracy among high school seniors and junior college kickers...converted 100 percent of his field goal attempts in high school, including a career-long 52-yarder...also a member of the two-time state champion hockey team at Ankeny.
