High School: Played two seasons of varsity football at Gulliver Prep for head coach Earl Sims...captained the team his senior season...was first-team All-State, first-team All-Dade and the Miami Herald 3A-1A Defensive Player of the Year his senior season...also was team’s Defensive MVP...set the school’s record for sacks in a season (30), sacks in a game (7), forced fumbles in a season (11), fumble recoveries in a season (9) and fumble recoveries in a game (5)...team was district champ his senior year...also lettered in basketball for two seasons and was captain both years.
