Assistant men's basketball coach John Rhodes is leaving Northeastern to become the head men's basketball coach at Ohio Northern.

Northeastern men's basketball assistant coach John Rhodes has been named the head coach of the men's basketball team at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio, the school recently announced.

Rhodes, who joined the Huskies last season, worked tirelessly with the team's forwards, and under his leadership, Manny Adako was named to the All-CAA third team. His efforts helped head coach Bill Coen and the Huskies go 19-13 last season and win their first postseason game in 25 years.

This is the first head coaching job for Rhodes, who has 13 years of coaching experience and eight years of experience playing professionally overseas.
