Junior Manny Adako scored 19 points while sophomore Chaisson Allen had 16 points and seven rebounds as the Northeastern men's basketball team ended its trip to Canada with a 69-47 win over Bishop's University Wednesday night in Lennoxville, Quebec.
The Huskies end their seven-game exhibition tour with a 6-1 record, averaging 74.1 points a contest. Strong shooting helped their cause, shooting 46.8 percent for the trip.
Northeastern never trailed in this game, building up as much as a 26-point lead midway through the third quarter. It was a bit of a sloppy contest as the two teams combined to rack up 55 turnovers. The Huskies scored 31 points off of Bishop's 27 turnovers while the Gaiters converted 28 NU turnovers into 28 points. NU's domination came in the paint, outscoring Bishop's inside 36-14.
Despite the turnovers, the Huskies did shoot 52 percent for the game, led by Adako who converted nine of his 12 shots for his 19 points. Allen's big night included a 6-for-10 shooting performance, five assists and three steals to go with his 16 and seven.
Senior Chris Alvarez turned in another solid performance with 12 points, five boards and three assists.
