Allen has improved himself each year and is now in line for a breakout junior campaign. He led the Huskies in rebounds, steals and assists last season and increased his offensive production dramatically towards the end of the year. He is quick, calculating and aggressive. After earning CAA All-Defensive team honors, he is arguably the best defender on the court at all times. He has a presence on the floor like no other and is a calming influence to his teammates and coaches.
2008-09: Started all 32 games at point guard...averaged 10.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists...led the team in rebounds, steals, assists...finished in the top 10 in the CAA in assists, free throw shooting, steals, assist/turnover ratio and minutes played...named to the CAA All-Defensive team...picked up 11 points, six assists and five rebounds vs. IUPUI (Nov. 11)...picked up nine points, five assists and two steals in 70-66 win at Providence (Nov. 15)...scored 14 points and grabbed seven boards against Boston University (Nov. 25)...scored 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds in win at James Madison (Dec. 6)...scored 17 points and pulled down seven rebounds in a 76-71 double overtime win over Harvard (Dec. 10)...scored 13 points and went 7-for-8 from the free throw line in historic 55-42 win at Indiana (Dec. 22)...had 12 points and eight boards in win over William & Mary (Jan. 3)...had a well-rounded game with eight points, eight rebounds, six steals and five assists in 73-50 win over Hofstra (Jan. 5)...had 14 points and eight rebounds in win at Georgia State (Jan. 7)...had 10 points, six rebounds and four assists in 68-53 win over Towson (Jan. 10)...picked up 10 points and seven rebounds in win at Delaware (Jan. 15)...had 12 points, nine rebounds and five in assists in 73-59 win over Delaware (Jan. 31)...was 4-for-5 from three-point range at William & Mary (Feb. 4)...scored a career-high 21 points in 77-65 win vs. UNC Wilmington (Feb. 7)...collected eight points, eight rebounds and six assists against Georgia state (Feb. 18)...dropped 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting in victory at Wright State (Feb. 21) on national television...tied a career high in rebounds with 10 vs. Towson at the CAA Tournament (March 7)...scored 16 points and made six assists in a 64-62 win at Wyoming in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational (March 17)...scored a career-high 26 points, including a career-best six three-pointers, at UTEP in the CBI quarterfinals (March 23).
2007-08: Started all 31 games in his rookie campaign...averaged 9.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals...led the Huskies in assists and steals and was second in rebounds...his 63 steals were seventh most in a season in NU history...had a 1.3 assist/turnover ratio...finished second in the CAA in steals and ninth in assists...led all CAA rookies in assists and steals...named to the CAA All-Rookie team...had a stellar collegiate debut, recording a double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) at Illinois...made seven steals at Maryland, the third-most by an NU player ever...named CAA Co-Rookie of the Week on Nov. 19...scored 20 points in win over Boston University...turned in eight points, five assists and four steals against James Madison...nearly had a triple-double at Connecticut, scoring nine points, dishing out nine assists and grabbing eight rebounds...tied his career-high with nine assists at Boston College...scored 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting at Syracuse...had nine points, six rebounds and six assists at Towson...scored 12 points, grabbed seven boards, dished out five assists and made four steals in 79-45 win over Drexel...had a team-high 13 points at George Mason...picked up his second career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds at Delaware...had 10 points and seven boards in 67-60 win over Old Dominion...had 13 points and four steals against VCU...had 11 points, five rebounds and four assists at Old Dominion...scored 11 points against both James Madison and George Mason in the CAA Tournament.
High School: Played four seasons of basketball at Oakland High School for head coach Randy King...captained team for two seasons...named county MVP as a senior...named District MVP as a junior...named All-State as a senior...named All-District and All-Region his sophomore, junior and senior seasons...member of Oakland’s 1,000 point club...as a senior, had the fifth-highest scoring game in state tournament history, scoring 36 points, which was also his all-time high...named to the state All-Tournament team his senior season.
