Smith is a versatile wing player. A star in central Texas, he has the natural ability to score. He can score off the dribble as well as with his perimeter shooting. He has good quickness and will compete for time in the backcourt.
High School: Played three seasons of basketball at Leander High School under head coach Clint Bradley...captained the team for one season...named first-team All-State, first-team All-Region, team MVP and Austin American-Statesman Central Texas Player of the Year in 2008-09...also had the best free throw shooting percentage in the state of Texas...named second-team All-District in 2007-08...led Leander to its first-ever outright district championship in 2009...also performed in the high jump on Leander’s track & field team.
Personal: Born Oct. 8, 1990...intends to major in Business Management...enjoys listening to music...distant relative of former NBA player Clyde Drexler...Class of 2014.
