McDonald, who walked on to the team in 2006, acts like a coach on the floor and in the locker room. He is the consummate team player and an inspiration to all his teammates. His committment to his personal development is unsurpassed on the team.
2008-09: Appeared in 12 games...played three minutes and notched an assist in 73-50 win vs. Hofstra (Jan. 5)...had a rebound in 68-53 win over Towson (Jan. 10)...saw four minutes of action in the 64-62 win at Wyoming in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational (March 23).
2007-08: Made four appearances...got into the game at Syracuse (Dec. 30) and hit a layup for his first career points...played in his first CAA Tournament game and made a steal in the win over James Madison (March 7).
2006-07: Played in 10 games...grabbed a rebound at Connecticut...played a season-high five minutes at Towson.
High School: Named All-Conference honorable mention in 2005 and an All-Division player in 2006 at Pomperaug High School...helped turn an 0-20 team in his sophomore year into a 14-9 state playoff team as a senior...also a member of the track & field team...a state champion in the high jump...holds the school record in the high jump (6’4).
Personal: Born March 5, 1988...majoring in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Management...an All-Academic selection in basketball...Class of 2011.
