Ojougboh is a fifth-year senior and arguably Northeastern’s best pure athlete. He is the team’s best shot blocker and interior defender. He has worked hard over the summer improving all aspects of his game. He is in line for a big senior season, and his contributions will help the Huskies compete for the CAA title.
2008-09: Appeared in all 32 games, making 29 starts at center...averaged 7.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.8 blocks...shot 53.9 percent from the field for the season...named first-team CAA All-Academic...scored 12 points and blocked three shots in win vs. Holy Cross (Nov. 22)...produced a double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds) at Harvard (Dec. 10)...had 12 points and nine boards in win at Delaware (Jan. 15)...had 16 points, seven rebounds and three blocks vs. Old Dominion (Feb. 28)...picked up 11 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 64-62 win at Wyoming in first round of the College Basketball Invitational (March 17)...scored 13 points at UTEP in the CBI quarterfinals (March 23).
2007-08: Started all 31 games at center...averaged 9.9 points and a team-high 6.4 rebounds and 0.9 blocks...finished ninth in the CAA in rebounding...named to the CAA All-Academic first team...picked up a double-double in his NU debut, scoring 10 points and netting a career-high 13 rebounds at Illinois...picked up 13 more rebounds at Maryland...achieved his second double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds) at Boston University...had his fourth and fifth double-digit rebounding games with 10 at Rhode Island, then 10 at New Hampshire...scored 14 points at Connecticut...picked up 14 points and nine boards in win over Harvard...recorded his third double-double of the season (15 points, 11 rebounds) at Towson...scored 14 points and was 8-for-8 from the free throw line vs. Georgia State...scored a season-high 20 points on 6-of-7 shooting in win over Drexel...scored 17 points and grabbed nine boards in victory vs. Delaware...got his third career double-double with 10 points and 11 boards at Delaware...recorded a career-high four blocks in win vs. Old Dominion...scored a game-high 15 points in win over William & Mary.
Before NU: Played one season at Texas-San Antonio...averaged 6.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 28 games...a four-year letterman at Scottsdale Christian...won state titles in 2004 and ’05 and finished as runner up for the two years prior...team posted a combined 64-3 record in his final two seasons...named All-Arizona first team and was a McDonald’s All-America nominee...named MVP of the Arizona High School All-Star game.
