Men finish second in Copley Cup

The men's varsity boat finished second in the Copley Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic in Mission Bay, Calif.

In the heats, NU finished second in Heat B behind Washington (5:54.8) with a time of 5:55.99. The top three teams in each heat qualified for the final round.

In the finals, California, the winner of Heat A, took home the cup with a time of 6:09.4 while Northeastern finished right behind with a time of 6:11.93.

Northeastern has competed in San Diego in the past, finishing ninth in 1979 and fifth in 1981.
