Seth Brennan was hired as NU's freshman crew coach in the summer of 2001. Brennan comes to NU after serving as the men’s freshman lightweight coach at Princeton University in 2000 and 2001, leading the Tigers to a perfect 18-0 career regular season record and two Eastern Sprint Championships. He previously was an assistant men’s crew at Rutgers University in 1999.

Brennan is a 1998 graduate of Princeton where he rowed on some of the Tigers’ most successful crews. He rowed in the 6 seat as Princeton won Eastern Sprint titles in 1995 and ’97, and was a member of the ’98 national championship crew at the IRA regatta. During the summers of 1995 and ’96, he was a member of the Canadian National Rowing Team.

Brennan is a native of Perth, Ontario. He and wife Kristin, who coaches at Radcliffe, reside in Waltham, Mass.
