O'Mara withdraws from Cambridge-Oxford boat race
At NU, O'Mara was in the varsity boat in 2004 and '05, which had a combined record of 8-2. He would have been the fifth Husky to row for Cambridge in the annual race, following in the footsteps of the Coveny brothers, Ian and Kyle, Marko Banovic and Tim Wooge.

Thames River (London, England)Shane O'Mara, Class of 2007, was pulled from the Cambridge eight for the 154th rowing of "The Boat Race" due to an unidentified illness. He was set to stroke the Light Blue of Cambridge when they challenge Oxford on the Thames this Saturday, March 29 in London, England.
O'Mara was replaced by Ryan Monaghan.
