2008-09: Made an immediate impact as a freshman, ranking third on the team with 10 goals and fourth with 25 points...team Rookie of the Year and Hockey East All-Rookie team...scored his first collegiate goal against Alaska Fairbanks in the season opener, a 2-2 tie...posted two assists in a 5-0 win over Maine on Oct. 24...scored the first goal of a 4-1 win over Bentley on Nov. 8...two assists in a 5-3 win at Vermont on Nov. 14...had a goal and two assists over two games in the RPI Holiday Tournament Nov. 28-29...scored the first goal in a 3-1 win over Western Michigan Jan. 2...scored on a penalty shot in the Huskies' 2-1 win over Merrimack on Jan. 9...first goal in NU's 3-1 win over Vermont on Jan. 16...had a goal and an assist in NU's 6-1 win over Boston College in the Beanpot semis...two assists in NU's 4-3 win over Merrimack on Feb. 6...had an assist the first night, then a goal the second night as the Huskies tied BU in back-to-back games Feb. 20-21...scored the game-winner in overtime in Northeastern's 2-1 victory over Boston College March 6...goal and assist helped NU to a 4-1 win over Massachusetts in the Hockey East Quarterfinals on March 14; assisted on Alex Tuckerman's overtime game-winner in a 2-1 win over the Minutemen the next night.
Before NU: Drafted in the third round (86th overall) by the Montral Canadiens in 2008...played for the Sioux City Musketeers in the U.S. Hockey League alongside current freshman Alex Tuckerman in 2007-08...tied for the team lead with 49 points (19-30-49) in 60 regular-season games...plus-16 on the season...had a goal and two assists in four playoff games...named to the USHL All-Rookie team and Musketeers MVP and Rookie of the Year...played in the USHL All-Star game...played for the Rocky Mountain Wranglers, one of the top AAA programs in the nation, in 2006-07...prior to that, played for the Colorado Outlaws.
