2006-07: Named NU’s first sophomore assistant captain since Jim Fahey in 1999-2000...played in 35 games, recording seven goals, nine assists and 16 points...deflected a Joe Santilli shot to score in a 2-2 tie with Vermont on Oct. 14...recorded a goal and an assist in a 4-3 loss at Boston University on Oct. 20...scored the first goal in NU’s 5-0 win over Union on Oct. 21...recorded assists on NU’s first two goals in a 4-1 win over Merrimack Dec. 1...scored a short-handed goal in the third period of NU’s loss to Maine on Dec. 9...notched an assist against Colgate and scored against Holy Cross in the UConn Hockey Classic Dec. 29-30...recorded an assist on Jimmy Russo’s game-winning overtime goal in 2-1 win over UMass Lowell Jan. 20...scored the game-winning goal with 49.9 seconds left in overtime in a 1-0 win over Merrimack Feb. 2...assisted on goals by Chris Donovan and Chad Costello in 5-3 loss to Massachusetts Feb. 25...scored the Huskies’ second goal in 4-2 win over No. 5 Boston University on Feb. 28...named to the Hockey East All-Academic team.
2005-06: Scored eight goals and assisted on eight for 16 points in 31 games as a freshman...had a 7-7-14 scoring line and plus-1 rating in 24 Hockey East games...centered NU’s top line in most games; also played right wing in three games...played on the power play and penalty kill...led the team in penalties, with 30 for 71 minutes...scored his first collegiate goal and notched his first assist on a Matti Uusivirta goal in a 7-5 loss at Rensselaer on Oct. 28...had the first two-goal game of his career in NU’s 5-3 loss to Vermont on Nov. 1 at Matthews Arena...three days later, scored NU’s fourth goal to tie the game in an eventual 6-4 home loss to New Hampshire...assisted on Jimmy Russo’s game-winner in NU’s 2-0 victory over Massachusetts on Nov. 11 at Matthews Arena...had two assists in a 5-3 loss at Boston College on Nov. 19...recorded eight points in his last 10 games...scored the game-tying goal at 14:20 in the third of a 2-2 tie at UMass Lowell Jan. 21...assisted on Steve Birnstill’s goal in a 2-2 tie at Merrimack on Feb. 3...led Northeastern to a 6-4 win over UMass Lowell with a pair of third-period goals on Feb. 10 at Matthews Arena; earned Hockey East Rookie of the Week honors for that effort...scored the first short-handed goal of his career in a 2-1 victory over No. 14 Providence on Feb. 16...assisted on Joe Santilli’s goal in a 2-2 tie with Massachusetts on Feb. 24 at Matthews Arena...missed the final three games with a sprained ankle.
Before NU: A seventh-round selection (195th overall) of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2005 NHL Draft...played for the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL in 2004-05, posting a scoring line of 11-20-31...played two seasons for the St. Louis Junior Blues of the Central States Hockey League, where the team had a combined record of 65-8 in his two seasons...posted a scoring line of 21-30-51 in 2003-04 and of 15-20-35 in 2002-03...played four years for Christian Brothers College High School, helping the team to three state championships, two undefeated seasons and one national title...also played football for two years at Christian Brothers.
