The Huskies beat the Georgia State Panthers on Sunday by a score of 2-0, notching their second straight victory and improving their record at Parsons to 4-1.

Northeastern showed once again it is a different team when playing at Parsons Field. The Huskies controlled the ball for almost all of the game and were constantly on the attack.

Junior forward Lewis Ehrlich got the Huskies on the board 30 minutes into the first half when freshman Santiago Bedoya sent a throw-in to senior Greg Kilkenny, who put the ball in front of the net for Ehrlich to knock in. It was Ehrlich's second goal of the weekend and third of the year. The score going into the half was 1-0, but Northeastern had out-shot the Panthers 13-1.

The Huskies picked up where they left off in the second half, putting up numerous shots. Panthers goalkeeper Filipe Carvalho put in a strong effort, as he made 13 saves, including several diving stops.

With 20 minutes to go in the game, Senior forward Ahmed Talaat took a crisp pass Ehrlich in traffic, beat a defender and sent it into the upper-right part of the net for the 2-0 lead.

Sophomore Mahmoud Talaat made three saves in earning his second shutout of the year. Kilkenny's assist was his seventh of the year, the Bray Wilkow, Ireland native currently leads the CAA in that category.

Northeastern finished the game with a 27-4 shot advantage and a 6-0 edge on the corners. Georgia State falls to 4-6-1 (1-3) with the loss while Northeastern improves to 4-7 (2-2). The Huskies next game will be Friday, Oct. 19 at Virginia Commonwealth at 7 p.m.
