Dean Brookes is entering his first year as assistant coach for Northeastern, having served as an assistant at Rhode Island College in 2007. Brookes, a native of England, played semi-pro in England for two seasons before attending De Montfort University where he played for 4 years. He graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor’s of Education (Honors) and qualified as a Physical Education teacher at the secondary level, teaching children from the ages of 11 to 18.

He has spent extensive time in the US coaching in many states throughout the country while working for Major League Soccer Camps where he also worked as a Regional Manager for over three years. He currently coaches for the Boston Bolts and also for the New England Revolution Academy, coaching in many communities throughout New England. Brookes has also coached at the High School level, in Maine and also for the US Soccer Olympic Development Program in Maine and Rhode Island. Brookes currently resides in Northborough with his wife Alice.
