Adam Pfeifer is entering his third year as assistant coach for Northeastern after serving as an assistant under Ed Kelly at Boston College in 2005. Pfeifer played four years at BC and finished his career in the Eagles’ top 20 in points (32) as well as in the top 10 in assists (12). The Newton, Mass., native led the team with six assists his freshman year, then paced the Eagles in goals (six) and points (15) his sophomore season while finishing sixth in scoring in the Big East. He was also a key contributor on the 2002 team that advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals. In 2003, Pfeifer led BC with four assists. During the summer prior to his junior and senior seasons at Boston College, Pfeifer was a member of the Premier Development League’s Cape Cod Crusaders that captured back-to-back national championships. Pfeifer attended Newton North High School, where he earned Gatorade Mass. Player of the Year and NSCAA Mass. Player of the Year accolades, and became the school’s first All-American in boy’s soccer. Pfeifer’s sister, Jessica, was a standout for the Northeastern women’s soccer team from 2002-05 and finished her career ranked third all-time in points. Pfeifer resides in Newton. |
