Below are photos of the Northeastern University men's track & field team competing at the CAA Championship April 17-18 at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Md. Northeastern won titles in five events and placed sixth in the team scoring. Junior Nate Hunter was named Most Outstanding Field Performer after winning both the shot put and discus for the third time of his career.

CAA Men's Track & Field Championship photos – Friday

    Bamidele Faboyede won the first of the Huskies' five CAA titles when he took the hammer Friday.

    Alex Iannetta also competed in the hammer, placing third.

    Adrian Li placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 23'4.

    Brendan Bergson also competed in the long jump, placing 12th.

    Kevin Laguere placed 14th in the long jump.   

    Jonatan Hall fell on the second hurdle, but got up and cleared the next one (above) and qualified for the final of the 400-meter hurdles.

    Mike Marston also competed in the 400 hurdles, running 1:01.31.

    Brian Kennedy ran a personal-best 4:01.63 to place 14th in the 1,500-meter.

    Konrad Stefanek runs in the 100-meter dash preliminaries.

      Pablo Rodriguez gets ready for a pole vault attempt. He placed fifth with a height of 15'5.

    Jordan Thull clears the bar en route to his 16'2.75 win.

    Daniel Grant placed 14th in the 5,000.
CAA Men's Track & Field Championship photos – Saturday

    Nate Hunter's first win of the day was in the discus with a throw of 157'5. It was the third time he won the CAA title in that event.

    Patrick Jablonski placed fifth in the discus (142'1) and fourth in the shot put (45'11.25).

    Jonathan Hall approaches Adrian Li for the final handoff in the 4x100-meter relay. NU finished fourth.

  Adrian Li competes in the high jump. He placed fifth with a jump of 6'4.75 after winning the event last year.

      After falling in the preliminaries,  Hall ran to a photo finish in the 400-hurdles final. The race didn't count due to a timing equipment failure.

      Hunter gets ready to throw the shot put after winning the discus.

      Through the spin, Hunter heaves the 16-pound ball.

    Hunter watches his throw. He won the shot put with a throw of 60'10.5. It was Hunter's third CAA shot put win in three tries.

      Hall came back 30 minutes later for a rerun of the 400-hurdles final.

      This time Hall was the clear victor in a time of 52.82

      Daniel Grant approaches the water barrier in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

    Grant comes out of the water pit en route to his 17th-place finish.

      Sebastien Putzeys approaches the water barrier in the steeplechase. He placed 16th in 10:02.93.

    Hunter receives the CAA Most Outstanding Field Performer award from tournament director JP Williams.
