Northeastern sent a partial-squad to the Brown Invitational on April 12 and placed fifth in the nine-team field. Brown won the meet. Sophomore Derek Anderson led the way with wins in the shot put (54'4) and discus (176'1) and a runnerup finish in the hammer (162'3). Peter Jasmin placed second in the 110 hurdles and was sixth in the 400 hurdles. In his first collegiate meet, redshirt freshman Ricardo Parente took third in the javelin with a toss of 176'6. Aaron Hill placed third in the pole vault, clearing 15'0.
