Tramaine Shaw
Assistant Coach
First season at NU: 2008-09 Alma mater: Northeastern '09
Tramaine Shaw has been promoted as Associate Head Coach for the Huskies track & field teams in 2009-10 after a stellar collegiate career for Northeastern. She is in her sixth year at Northeastern and she earned her degree in Psychology from Northeastern in May 2009.
Shaw wrapped up her Northeastern career with Husky records in the 100 hurdles (13.58) and pentathlon (3,685), Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) records in the 100 hurdles (13.71) and 400 hurdles (59.88) and the America East record in the pentathlon (3,607). She was also part of the Huskies' record-setting indoor 4x400 relay and outdoor 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relays.
However impressive that sounds, Shaw's forte was not record-setting performances, it was championship wins. She was named America East Rookie of the Year both indoors and outdoors her freshman year. The Huskies then switched to the CAA, and over three outdoor championships, Shaw went on to win CAA titles in the 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles, long jump and relays. She was named CAA Co-Track Athlete of the Year in 2007 after helping the Huskies win Northeastern's first CAA title in any sport.
