April 2002: President Freeland announces the self-study to the campus community
April 2002: Steering committee meeting
April 2002 - August 2002: Subcommittees meet
August 2002: Committee reports completed
September - October, 2002: Steering Committee reviews and discusses committee reports
November 2002: Receive feedback on the report
November 2002: Chief report writer begins preparation of final document
December 2002: Steering Committee Oversight Review Subcommittee (Richard Freeland, Arvin Grabel, Ian McCaw, and Jody Mooradian) review final report
January 2003: Copyedit and complete final report and make it available to campus community
February 2003: Reproduce final report and mail to NCAA
May - June 2003: Peer Review Team visits
