Northeastern loses to BC

The women’s swimming & diving team lost to Boston College in its opening meet Friday night.
The Huskies got a good showing from senior Elena Alvarez who took the 100 (1:06.30) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:26.90) and also took the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:12.88.
Kathrine Fugge contributed with a win in the 100-yard butterfly (59.54) and Rachael Peterson gave NU a win in the 3-meter dive with a total score of 229.35.
Northeastern’s relay teams also performed well in the loss with wins in the 400-yard freestyle (3:36.24) and 200-yard medley (1:49.98).
The Huskies are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 25 when they travel to Maine in a dual meet versus the Black Bears and Central Connecticut.
