Kearns receives All-CAA honors

Freshman Jill Kearns has earned All-CAA accolades for her performance at the CAA Championship.

Kearns (Milford, Mass./ Milford) was honored for her performance in the 400 IM, in which she took third. Her time of 4:20.85 broke the previous school record of 4:26.80 by 6.05 seconds.

Kearns had an outstanding freshman season for the Huskies, showing great promise with numerous top three finishes. She also broke a second NU record with her sixth-place finish in the 200-meter butterfly (2:02.44) at the CAA Championship.

The Huskies placed eighth at the championship, which was held in Fairfax, Va., Feb. 25-28.
