Suzana Stojakovic had a career high 63 assists against Syracuse.

In a hard fought battle, the Northeastern volleyball team lost to Syracuse, 3-2, in the first round of the 2000 Orange Invitational held in Syracuse, N.Y.

The first game of the match saw the Orangemen come away with a 15-11 win, but the Huskies battled back and won the second game 15-10.

After Syracuse won the third game, 15-11, NU took the close fourth game 18-16. In the fifth and final game, the Orangemen just squeezed by the Huskies 15-13 to take the match.

Senior setter Suzana Stojakovic recorded a career high 63 assists in the loss for NU.
