The Huskies dropped to 2-9 on the season as they lost to Manhattan 3-1 in the second round of the 2000 Orange Invitational in Syracuse, N.Y.

Manhattan won the first two games, 15-9 and 15-10, before NU battled back to take the third game 15-12. The Huskies lost the fourth game 15-12 to give Manhattan the victory.

Sophomore Kristin Deatherage recorded 16 kills and 14 digs to lead the way for NU.

Sophomore Erin Spangler had a team high four solo blocks and three block assist to go along with her 10 kills
