The Northeastern volleyball team blanked Vermont twice (15-0, 15-4, 15-0) on its way to a 3-0 victory in an America East conference match on Sunday.
In the first game, NU got out to a quick 6-0 start before the Catamounts called a timeout to try and regroup. Following the timeout, the Huskies ran off a 9-0 run to win game one 15-0.
The second game of the afternoon saw NU get out to an early 4-2 lead before going on an eight-point run to make it 12-2. The Huskies would roll on to win the second game by a final score of 15-4.
The third and final game was also a blanking as NU was victorious 15-0. In the win, Suzana Stojakovic and Lindsay Wagner each recorded seven service aces. Wagner also added six kills.
The win improved NU to 9-10 overall and 2-0 in America East play, while Vermont falls to 0-12 on the year and 0-2 in conference action. The Huskies return to action tomorrow to take on conference foe New Hampshire in Durham at 1 p.m.
