Both New Hampshire and Northeastern entered Sunday’s America East matchup with a six-match win streak, and it was the visiting Huskies who extended it to seven with a 3-0 victory at Lundholm Gymnasium. The game scores were 15-12, 15-13, 15-12.

With the score tied 9-9 in Game 1, the Huskies scored four consecutive points to build a 13-9 advantage. The Wildcats closed within 13-12 but Northeastern spurned the late comeback by earning the next two points.

The Huskies led 7-3 through one full rotation in Game 2 before the 'Cats closed within 10-8. The visitors inched in front 12-8 but New Hampshire took a 13-12 advantage with five points on the serve of Kim Mirts-Poen. The lead was short-lived, however, and the Huskies took a 2-0 lead in the match by winning the next three points.

In Game 3, the teams again exchanged numerous sideouts and small spurts. Northeastern used an early three-point run to take a 5-4 lead but New Hampshire answered with three consecutive points to go back in front, 7-5. The Huskies surged in front 10-7 before the 'Cats closed within 10-9. After falling behind 12-9, UNH tied the game behind the service of Stacy Barnett.

The Wildcats never regained the lead as Northeastern closed out the match with three consecutive points. Lindsay Wagner and Kristin Deatherage each had 14 kills to lead the Huskies’ offense. Erin Spangler recorded 11 kills. Suzana Stojakovic set up the attack with 44 assists.
