The Lamar Cardinals defeated the Northeastern Huskies 3-2 in the New England Challenge Friday night at Cabot Gym. After getting out to an early one game lead (15-13), the Huskies lost the next two games (14-16, 8-15) to fall behind 2-1. NU battled back in the fourth game (15-10) to force a decisive fifth and final game which the Cardinals won (15-10). The Huskies loss drops them to 0-5 on the season. Freshman setter Kristin Ursillo was two kills shy of her second triple double (eight kills, 34 assists and 11 digs) in as many matches.
