The Huskies recorded their first win of the season (1-7) as they were victorious at the Cornell Invitation in Ithaca, N.Y. against host Cornell.

NU jumped out to an early 2-0 lead (15-4, 15-6) before Cornell took the third game 13-15. The Huskies then answered in the fourth game (15-5) to win the match 3-1.

Lindsay Wagner led all attackers with 15 kills and Suzana Stojakovic notched up 45 assists and 13 digs. NU next takes on Kent State, as also a part of the Cornell Invitational.
